Grade Calculator

Grade Calculator

Weighted class grade from 3 assignments. Score and weight (%) for each.

What is a grade calculator?

A grade calculator works out your weighted class grade from your assignment scores and their weights. Enter each score and its weight, and it shows your grade and letter.

How to use the grade calculator

Enter the score and weight (%) for each of the three assignments, then click Calculate Grade. The weights should add up to 100.

Weighted grade formula

Weighted grade = (score1 × weight1 + score2 × weight2 + score3 × weight3) ÷ total weight. A heavier assignment counts more towards your final grade.

Example

Scores 90, 80 and 70 with weights 30, 30 and 40: (90×30 + 80×30 + 70×40) ÷ 100 = 79%, which is a C.

Letter grade scale

A 90–100, B 80–89, C 70–79, D 60–69, F below 60. So 79% is a C, not a B.
